Silentec designs and manufactures high-performance sound-absorbing, vacuum-proof, and blast-proof doors and windows for a variety of applications.
The door can be hinged or sliding, manual or motorized, with a pneumatic or other sealing system.
These devices are available with a Sound Reduction Class of CAS-65 (STC-65), vacuum sealing and blast resistance.
Performance test reports are available. They are made by independent laboratories such as the National Research Council of Canada (CNRC-NRC).
Doors
Acoustic doors on hinges, equipped with single, double or triple sound barriers depending on the sound reduction index requested, typically between STC-35 to STC-70.
Large Doors
Custom made for typical openings of 20'x30', for access to equipment such as aircraft engines in test benches. Blast resistance. And high degree of soundproofing available (STC65 and above). Available with hinges or sliding, with bumper or pneumatic perimeter sound barrier.
Windows
Applications include control rooms for aircraft engine test benches, factories and recording studios as well as the glass facades of music halls, etc.
Automatic Lowering at the Bottom of the Door and Its Suction Seal
Automatic sound cut-out for door bottoms. Made to measure for very wide doors or doors with high soundproofing or vacuum insulation.
